At the Very Large Array, while waiting outside as the first group of people went up inside the satellite, I noticed the satellite servicing structure. It was so massive, but so empty. There was so much free space within this structure, whose door was not so much that as just an entire missing wall. The space within (wherever you draw that line) this structure was so obviously integrated with the space outside, yet it was so entirely different. Something astounding happens to the space around which that structure exist. It is almost, to my experience, as is it has become matter, it has become massive. Whereas before, this space was listless and trivial, it suddenly becomes energetic, massive, forceful, and perhaps even aggressive, or stifling. The space, though fully dependant upon the structure, seems to become more critical that the structure itself.
