We moved a lot during the western excursion through Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. Many miles, many roads, many scenes, many places. About all that moving, I keep thinking about the excerpt from Day 1 that Josh Garrett-Davis shared with us from the book, "The Meadow" by James Galvin. The author describes the Platte River as a ribbon flowing through land, surrounding pieces of it like islands. Those roads we moved on felt like big ribbons stretched far across the country.
