Multiple readings recommend that if stuck, to start collecting. Although this has not been my experience completely, this has become the week of collecting: collecting detailed images of my surroundings when looking intensively, collecting images of posters and public information in Ward, collecting twigs and rocks for projects, and collecting information on new people that Iā€™m embarking on this experience with. I find this experience of collecting is a prominent part of my practice, but also a prominent part of my life, collecting objects provides me with a greater sense of play when making pieces, and collecting experiences and information gives me more perspectives from which to approach my surroundings. Now that the first week is over, I am looking forward to see how his practice of collecting influences and manifests in the next two.
